L’Avenue has held its place as a top brunch spot for almost ten years and not just because of the perfectly roasted-then-fried herbed potatoes. If you don’t get there early, you’ll wait eagerly and hungrily for giant fruit smoothies and yolky benedicts. Expect an artsy-sexy local vibe, French-only menus and friends feeding last night’s stupor.

I still dream about my order there the mango-strawberry-orange-banana smoothy, California omelet, Provence potatoes & buttery baguette with a side of cream cheese… I die!
Still one of the best breakfasts I know. I always want to try new things, but too torn.
